Miyajima was absolutely one of my favourite stops during the trip, so please we made the effort to go there xSybaricioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00191639500350834917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4590371583349984410.post-34071462956638559162013-03-17T08:31:06.640+00:002013-03-17T08:31:06.640+00:00Lovely post, so enjoyed it. We visited last October, and really enjoyed our overnight here.

I know what you mean about sleeping on the floor. I found layering up the futons made sleeping comfortable enough but getting up from the bed was tough. A few places had low chairs in the room -- the ones that were not quite floor level -- and I placed one of those by my bed and used it to help leverage myself up without killing the knees! :-) We stayed in 4 ryokans during our 17 night trip, 6 nights overall but only booked the kaiseki dinner for the first night in all 4 places. We also did an overnight in a Koyasan temple, which was somewhat similar to a ryokan experience.

:-)Kaveyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16662875905365870280noreply@blogger.com
